lionessWe spent the day in Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam, and found this lioness whilst she was guarding her two youngsters. They were waiting to be fed, and I guess this, together with the audience, made the lioness somewhat nervous. She looked if she would strike and kill immediately, if someone would try and approach her offspring. Beautiful creatures, although not meant to be in captivity I guess.
