Tanker Bokeh
a tanker moored in the Calandcanal, Rotterdam Europoort, seen behind bush and flowers. The 'technique' used is called Bokeh, a japanese word which basically covers those photos which have a wide area of lens blur in either fore or background. The circles of lights add to the matter.

Evening falls
the evening falls during an evening walk in the polderarea between Vlaardingen and Maassluis. The sky was rather heavy, filled with low clouds and thunderstorm-like, together with a foggy background. I like the quietness which speaks from this picture.

Landtong Rozenburg
sunset tonight at the Landtong Rozenburg looking out to the Northsea. I somehow like this picture, although technically it's surely not the best. It's straight from the camera, no adjustments, apart from straightening the horizon. The only real minus I find the visible flare.

Sun setting behind dunes
The sun was really setting beautifully that evening at Hoek van Holland. This shot was taken in raw mode, and I have adjusted it using Photoshop CS2. I particularly liked the contrast of the bushes on the edge of the dune against the sky and the setting sun. I also must admit, that I have by large not lived up to the expectation of feeding this blog with one picture a day.....but now I have found a way of directly uploading pictures to the blog from my flickr account, so hope is not lost....stick with me!
